Our church beautifies the sanctuary every Easter with an array of lilies. If you would like to help us to defray this cost, we encourage you to give a special gift in memory or honor of a loved one. When you give, please let the church know your loved one’s name by emailing  fpcclarksville@gmail. com  or calling the church office   by March 26 . The names of those in memoriam or in honor of, along with the donor’s name (unless anonymous), will be listed in the Easter Sunday bulletin. If giving by check, please write “Lilies” in the memo line.

One Great Hour of Sharing invites us to join together in expressing our gratitude for what we have and generosity towards others in need. May these daily prompts guide you in joyful giving this Lent.  Download the sharing calendar here. Ash Wednesday 14th: Read Isaiah 58:6–8, 12. What are we asked to do? Who helps meet those same needs for you (v. 12)? Say a prayer of gratitude for them. Thursday 15th: Our Gracie Fish coin boxes will hold many gifts of money this season, but what other kinds of gifts can we give? What gifts can share? Friday 16th: Sunday is PDA’s Blue T-Shirt Sunday. What does PDA do to show God’s love? Choose something blue to wear or share with your congregation. Sunday 18th: God, open our eyes to your face in every person. Let us see the ways we are all connected with all of Creation. May we as your Church, together, seek love, justice and peace with all. La Gonavans must make a life-or-death journey to the mainland of Haiti to procure what their island cannot produce. They face unsafe boats, robbers, and kidnappers along the way. Though resilient and independent, they are suffering due to rising dangers and inflation. Please hold the people of La Gonave in your heart and mind. We are partners with them through joy and pain. In realizing that the holidays can be difficult for some, the church is once again providing literature that we hope will help guide you through the season. We have subjects ranging from grieving during the holidays to holiday depression. These pieces of literature are located on the table outside the church office. Feel free to take what you need free of charge. Please reach out to us if you need support.
