MINISTRIES Wednesday Night Faith Focus Contact: Hannah Cruse or Dianne York " Faith Focus ", funded by a Lilly Endowment grant through the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship, aims to be a congregational boots-on-the-ground laboratory for connecting our worship and work. We will explore together what it means to put our faith into action. Saturday, June 17 (10 am - 12 pm)  Learn:  basic harvesting methods for each veggie  blanching and freezing  fermenting  infusing  how to utilize cold/dark space  supplies needed  Saturday, June 24 (10 am - 12 pm)  Learn:  water bath canning  pressure canning  pickling  sugaring  supplies needed  ***These workshops will be held in the Fellowship Hall at FPC.  ***All supplies that you will need for the day are included in the ticket cost.  ***Due to Juneteenth celebrations/Farmer's Market, allot at least 10 mins for parking. Please join us at FPC during Holy Week as we reflect on the life and sacrifices of Christ. We prepare our hearts and minds penitently in order to remember and celebrate Christ's resurrection on Easter!  We hope you will join us for one or more of our special services. On Saturday, March 18, all of the committees and teams of the church will gather from 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. to plan the church's activities for 2023-2024. Planning Day is a wonderful opportunity to check out any area of church life. Anyone in the congregation is invited to participate in this day.   Schedule for Planning Day 8:30 a.m. Coffee House open with coffee and breakfast foods 8:30-9:00 a.m.  Q&A with Pastor Greg regarding the topics raised at the February Town Hall Meeting 9:30 a.m. Committees will gather in break-out rooms. 11:30 a.m. Lunch provided. Our church is very blessed to have such strong volunteer leadership in every facet of our life together.  A full list of committees and their mission statements, along with their meeting rooms, will be available on Planning Day. Come start your Lenten journey with us this year at our Ash Wednesday Service on Feb. 22 at 6:00 pm. We will be doing the Imposition of Ashes and beginning our Lenten sermon series, “Jazz Gospel.” Hear a beautiful anthem presented by the choir as well as solo oboe music.  Dinner beginning at 5:00 in Fellowship Hall followed by the service in the sanctuary.
