  All members of the congregation are invited to the Town Hall meeting on Sunday, May 19 at 9 am in Fellowship Hall. This is a great time to ask questions and learn about what's going on in the life of the church. Coffee and snacks provided. 

NaCoMe Family Camp Program this Summer

NaCoMe is  trying to raise awareness for their Family Camp program. The Family Camp is an intergenerational camp experience run to help families enjoy the outdoors, gain new experiences, and grow closer to God together. The dates this year are June 28th-30th. Faith Focus on April 17: "Children in Foster Care: A Christian Perspective" with Dr. Quentin Humberd

Make sure you take advantage of this grant-funded program for its final month! Dr. Quentin Humberd will speak at Faith Focus this Wednesday on mental health challenges, foster care, and how we can help children in Clarksville. Join us for dinner at 5:00 and the program until 6:30 in Fellowship Hall. Childcare is provided.

Join us on April 10 from 5 to 6:30 for Faith Focus in Fellowship Hall. Local writer Susan Steen will speak on “A Diversity of Truths,” helping us develop an understanding of diverse truths through the lens of unity and love, guided by the wisdom and compassion of our faith. Complimentary dinner and childcare!

Committee Spotlight: Fellowship and Facility Use Committees

At our Session meetings each month, different committees report to the Session about what they accomplished the previous year and some goals for the upcoming year. We also share our areas of greatest need. Each month, we are going to highlight those committees so that the congregation will know what our committees are up to!  Here are the latest committees to report. The Fellowship Committee Mission Statement:  to promote and coordinate social gatherings within the church to encourage fun and fellowship through providing convenient meals to the congregation and visitors. Activities:   planning menus and providing Second Sunday lunches for the congregation and our visitors (except for June and July).  The committee welcomes new members to help cook and any feedback on meal requests!   The Facility Use Committee This committee oversees the use of our buildings with the goal of fully utilizing our spaces.  This includes our Sanctuary, Education Building, and Activities and Outreach Cente

Earth Care Vigil and Faith Climate Action Week Events (April 20-26) in Clarksville

First Presbyterian is thrilled to be a part of Faith Climate Action Week , sponsored by TN Interfaith Power and Light !  You are invited to participate in the week's free events during April 20-26 to "cultivate connections between food, faith, and climate." Spread the word!  On  Tuesday the 23rd at 12 p.m. , you may participate in a  webinar ( register here )  with speakers from The Nashville Food Project, Cul2vate, Catholic Charities' Loaves and Fishes, The Branch of Nashville, and Second Harvest Food Bank.  O n  Thursday the 25th at 6 p.m. , FPC will  screen "Common Ground,"  the sequel to "Kiss the Ground," with a discussion afterward.  Finally, all Clarksville houses of worship are invited to the  Earth Care Vigil  located at the APSU Victory Gardens  on Friday the 26th at 7 p.m.  to pray and learn about local action steps.

  Join us after worship around 11:15 am on April 14 for Second Sunday Lunch in Fellowship Hall. These monthly meals are always a great time to meet new people or catch up with old friends! Childcare ends after worship so that families can eat together.

Faith Focus on April 3: "Human Flourishing" with Priest Clifford Syner

The Faith Focus presentation on Wednesday, April 3 will be “Human Flourishing: Communing with God in Creation” by priest and paramedic Clifford Syner. Dinner starts at 5:00 in Fellowship Hall. Programming for adults and children is provided through 6:30. Cliff,  priest at Church of the Resurrection in Clarksville,  has been working in healthcare for over 20 years, initially as a special Operations Flight Medic and then as a Physician Assistant in the Army. He has served in public health initiatives in multiple third-world countries and helped to develop infrastructure that lowered the infant mortality rate in eastern Afghanistan. In 2014, Cliff began working in Functional Medicine. He quickly began seeing the connections between physical and spiritual health and attended seminary to explore God's desire to see us flourish within creation. After seminary, his family moved back to Clarksville. They have recently started a non-profit functional medicine clinic. Cliff has been married

Give to One Great Hour of Sharing on Easter Sunday

On Easter Sunday, March 31, we will collect a special offering for One Great Hour of Sharing. Offerings will go to ministries like the Presbyterian Hunger Program, Self-Development of People, and Presbyterian Disaster Assistance. On Wednesday March 21 at Faith Focus, school psychologist and certified life coach Stephani Cook will present "Positive Psychology and Faith: Discovering the Key to Happiness." Join us in Fellowship Hall from 5 to 6:30 p.m. for dinner, the presentation, and discussion. Childcare and children's activities provided. 

Decorate the Easter Cross as a Family on March 31

On Easter Sunday, March 31, you are invited to participate in decorating the Easter cross outside of the sanctuary doors. Bring your own flowers and newly leafed branches or use some extras we will have on hand. It's a great family activity and place to take Easter photos!

Give in Memory of a Loved One for Easter Lilies

Our church beautifies the sanctuary every Easter with an array of lilies. If you would like to help us to defray this cost, we encourage you to give a special gift in memory or honor of a loved one. When you give, please let the church know your loved one’s name by emailing  fpcclarksville@gmail. com  or calling the church office   by March 26 . The names of those in memoriam or in honor of, along with the donor’s name (unless anonymous), will be listed in the Easter Sunday bulletin. If giving by check, please write “Lilies” in the memo line.

This week at Faith Focus, APSU librarian and FPC member Jenny Harris will present “Faith in a Digital Age” about fostering community that is not only aware of digital challenges but also equipped to address them with love, wisdom, and action. Join us on Wednesday in Fellowship Hall for dinner and the program from 5:00 to 6:30.
