Kickoff of Our Grant-Funded Worship Program, Faith Focus, on August 30

"What one thing do you struggle with most in terms of connecting your faith with life? Conversely, what is the most rewarding or joyful part of connecting your faith with life?"

These are some of the questions we will be tackling at the kickoff of our grant-funded worship project called Faith Focus, a Lab for Worship and Work. Come out on Wed, Aug 30 from 5 to 6:30. Will include dinner, song, a presentation from the Faith Focus Steering Committee, group discussion, and a "Practicing Our Faith" send-off exercise!

As preparation for this event, please fill out our Spiritual Gifts Assessment if you are able. This will give us helpful information as the Steering Committee develops the program. Thank you!

Program Background:

After our Bicentennial celebration last year, we felt especially inspired to continue RENEWing the church. We want to continue to be a church that walks how we talk, supports and challenges each other, gets in the weeds with our community, shares and receives the peace of Christ with the Other... The idea for Faith Focus grew out of this call. We then submitted the grant proposal at the end of 2022 to the Calvin Institute of Christian Worship and received the full sum through the Lilly Endowment in May of 2023. We formed a Steering Committee and have been diligently planning for and getting excited about Faith Focus all summer. So, let’s put our tennis shoes on and put our faith into action together--with humility and gratitude, through Christ our Lord!
