Give a Gift to Children in Need this Christmas - Forgotten Angels Program
Every Christmas, there are children who do not receive gifts because their families are struggling financially and cannot afford the expense. The Salvation Army’s Angel Tree Program tries to ensure that these children have a wonderful holiday season with their families. And every year there are families that did not meet the deadline for signing up to be on the Angel Tree. These families are referred to as Forgotten Angels. This year we will be helping Forgotten Angels in Montgomery County.
WHAT YOU CAN DO:
- Donate outfits, shoes, coats, and/or toys. (Make sure these are new and in original packaging.) The Salvation Army has a wishlist here. (click)
- And/or - Donate cash so that others can shop for items. Make check or payment to First Presbyterian with a memo: Forgotten Angels
- Deliver items to the Salvation Army, 210 Kraft Street 37040 by Dec. 10.
If you'd like to help in any way, please reply to Ann Waddle at waddleiread@gmail.com. She will answer all your questions and give you a task! Reminder that everything needs to be done by Dec. 10.
