Dwell Young Adult Events (through the end of 2022)

Young adults (college-age through late 30's/early 40's) are invited to all FPC Dwell Ministries events! Let Hannah Cruse or the church office know if you have any questions. Blessings, and hope to see you soon!

Activities with Dwell:

  • Brunch at The Mailroom (short walk from FPC) at 11:15 am on Sunday, Oct. 16. This is a good opportunity to get to know folks if you're new or have been gone a while. FREE CHILDCARE PROVIDED. RSVP on Eventbrite.

  • Trivia Night at Strawberry Alley (Upstairs) on Thurs, October 20, 7:00-9:00. Good food, music, and silliness. RSVP on FB.

  • Pumpkin Patch Outing on Sat, October 22. Pumpkins, farm animals, hay ride, corn maze, music, and food available at Patterson Place Farms. Especially for families, but pretty enjoyable for anyone. RSVP on Eventbrite.

  • “Halloween Hunt” and “Haunted Pipes Organ Concert” on Sat, October 29 from 7:00-9:00 pm at FPC. Follows a free movie showing in the Downtown Commons at 6:00. Dress up and come do a scavenger hunt through the church in the dark with spooky pipe organ music (at 8:00). The scavenger hunt is especially for kids, but everyone will enjoy the organ music and vibe. RSVP on Eventbrite or Facebook.

  • Volunteering at Loaves & Fishes on Saturday, Nov. 5 from 10 am to 12:30 pm. Let Hannah know if you can be part of the team. If given advanced notice, we can arrange childcare.

  • Volunteering with the “Green Team.” We’re starting our first ever project together on Sunday, Nov. 6, 11:15-1:15 pm. We will get raised beds across from Fellowship Hall ready with new soil to plant veggies and flowers next spring. This will be our first step towards teaching and encouraging environmental sustainability with the church. Let Hannah know if you want to help or get more info. If given advanced notice, we can arrange childcare.

  • Friendsgiving on Saturday, Nov. 19. Time/location TBA. Main meat provided by the church; everyone brings a side. We'll bring board games and have ourselves a good ol' time! FREE CHILDCARE AVAILABLE.

  • Volunteering at SpiritFest, Dec. 3, 2:00-4:00 pm. Let Hannah know if you can help.

  • Trivia Night at Strawberry Alley, Thursday, Dec. 8, 7:00 pm. FREE CHILDCARE AVAILABLE.

Other things young adults might enjoy at FPC:

  • Discussion Groups at 9 am on Sundays: 1) “The Trek-Fuel for the Pilgrimage” with Pastor Greg at the Coffee Shop in Fellowship Hall. Let's help one another travel light and travel far with the help of a few spiritual guides and outfitters who have walked the path before us. 2) “Conversations on the Front Porch,” located in the Chapel, focuses on current events from the past few weeks and Scripture. FREE CHILDCARE AVAILABLE.

  • Chapel Cinema Screening of “An Honest Liar” on Thursday, October 27, 6:00. RSVP on Eventbrite. Artistic, thought-provoking films shown every fourth Thursday for free in the chapel.

  • Art Walk, every first Thursday (Nov. 3 and Dec. 1) from 5:00 to 7:00 pm, in the Chapel and galleries in downtown Clarksville.

  • Consecration Sunday Lunch, Nov. 20, 11:15 am.

  • “Lessons and Carols” and Congregational Dinner, Sunday, Dec. 11, 4:00 pm

  • Christmas Caroling on the Front Steps, Friday, Dec. 6, 6:00 pm
