Food Preservation Workshops in June - Learn Skills for a Lifetime!


So you grew a garden and you have more veggies in your kitchen than you know what to do with... NOW WHAT??? Learn to preserve! 


Saturday, June 17 (10 am - 12 pm) 

Learn: 
  • basic harvesting methods for each veggie 
  • blanching and freezing 
  • fermenting 
  • infusing 
  • how to utilize cold/dark space 
  • supplies needed 

Saturday, June 24 (10 am - 12 pm) 

Learn: 
  • water bath canning 
  • pressure canning 
  • pickling 
  • sugaring 
  • supplies needed 

***These workshops will be held in the Fellowship Hall at FPC. 
***All supplies that you will need for the day are included in the ticket cost. 
***Due to Juneteenth celebrations/Farmer's Market, allot at least 10 mins for parking. Park by the Activities & Outreach Center near the FPC Teaching Garden, in the staff spots by the church playground, or on the streets near the church.
