Learn to preserve!  SAVE THE DATE for the last two Saturdays in June for two Food Preservation Workshops. These will be held in the Fellowship Hall. Supplies will be covered in the ticket price. On June 11 after worship during the indoor picnic, we will celebrate Kris Foust and her many years of service to FPC. We wish her a happy retirement as she gets to spend more time with her grandbabies! 

The downtown Art Walk is coming up on Thursday, June 1! The FPC Chapel exhibit will be open from 5 to 8 pm. Come see works by Jim Diehr this month. Jim Diehr, an Army veteran who is currently a Professor Emeritus at APSU, grew up on the family farm attending a one room school. He studied at Pratt Institute. College degrees include a B.F.A in studio Arts, Masters of Sculpture and Ceramics, Ed.S. Industrial Arts, and a Ph.D. He is a Fulbright scholar and guest lecturer in China. Diehr currently focuses on watercolor, sculpture, and oil painting.

This Sunday, May 28th, is Pentecost Sunday. Pentecost is the Sunday 7 weeks or 50 days after Easter and is the day that the fire of the Holy Spirit descended on the apostles who had gathered together. Join us this Sunday at 10 am worship by wearing the color RED to symbolize the work of the Holy Spirit!

Each of us will eventually pass through the valley of the shadow of death.  As you prepare for that eventuality, there are things you can do to help your family as they seek to honor your life with joy, thanksgiving, and hope.  One of the simplest ways is to fill out the form below and return it to the church office.  You can find a paper copy at the office or on the table outside of the narthex.
